Design and Implementation of Empirical Studies
A central focus of my work is the design and implementation of theory driven empirical studies addressing questions in the fields of education and organisation. This includes both evaluation and intervention studies aimed at a differentiated analysis of underlying relationships and effects.
Such studies may, for example, address questions of organisational development, participation, workload and strain, resilience and motivation, as well as teaching and learning processes.
Particular emphasis is placed on the development of robust research designs, the context sensitive construction of appropriate research instruments, and the careful analysis and interpretation of findings. A decisive aspect is the development of empirically sound approaches that are appropriately aligned with the respective theoretical assumptions and institutional conditions.
Scientific Sparring and Conceptual Consultation
Scientific sparring and conceptual consultation are integral components of my work. They serve to clarify research questions, strengthen theoretical framing, and deepen the understanding of substantive relationships and underlying dynamics.
This may take place in the context of academic projects, for example in the design of empirical studies, the development of research instruments, or the interpretation of empirical findings. Equally, it may relate to practice oriented questions, such as organisational development processes, the design of participatory structures, participatory school development, or workplace health promotion.
The focus lies on the analytical examination of complex situations through the integration of theoretical and empirical perspectives. The aim is to facilitate robust clarification processes and to support decision making on a scientifically grounded basis.
