My expertise lies in the scientific analysis of complex problems arising from the interaction between individuals and organisational structures. Particular attention is given to the interplay between structural conditions and individual orientations, as well as to its significance for experience, action, and decision making.
The aim is not to simplify or reduce organisational complexity, but to make it systematically accessible and thereby provide a robust foundation for reflective action and decision making.

My work is interdisciplinary in orientation and draws on theoretical and empirical perspectives from the following fields:
- Education and empirical educational research

- Philosophy, particularly social philosophy and action theory
Methodological Approach
My methodological approach is empirically and analytically oriented and combines theoretical model building with careful empirical investigation. Both quantitative and qualitative methods are employed.
Particular methodological expertise lies in the design and analysis of cross-sectional and longitudinal studies, as well as in the development and validation of scales and research instruments. In addition, I have experience in the planning and implementation of experimental studies.
My methodological repertoire includes factor analytical approaches, structural equation modelling, and dynamic modelling techniques for the analysis of temporal relationships. These are complemented by qualitative methods of analysis, including video based observational approaches where research questions require a more in depth reconstruction of interactions and processes of action.
In practical research contexts, I work with established statistical and analytical software environments, particularly R, Mplus, SPSS, Stata, and MAXQDA.
